This week we saw Andrew Kuryj, one of our longest serving employees, celebrate a 20 year milestone with JK Williams.

Andrew started out as Construction Worker in 1998, he moved onto a 12G Caterpillar Grader and has over the years has established himself as one of the industry’s best operators, he was also the first person in Australia to operate the Caterpillar 14 M series grader. Since becoming a grader operator Andrew has spent approximately 18 years, 4,300 days or 41,000 hours on a grader and has been responsible for the final trim of approximately 4.3 million sqm of road or 84,000 truckloads of road base.

Andrew has been pivotal in supporting our onsite operations for many years, whether it be welcoming new employees, mentoring and training our up and coming crews or supporting Site Supervisors. Andrew represents the very essence of JKW and our values, his honesty and genuine work ethic are without question, he also has a knack for ensuring the workplace is never dull. He is the kind of person who is always looking out for his family, friends and co-workers, He never shirks responsibility, is happy to share the load and is always there to assist others in getting the job done.

Congratulations Andrew, we are extremely proud to call him our own and can’t thank him enough for the last 20 years – at least 20 more to go mate!
