Rhys Clarke competed in the 2015 Ironman Triathlon in Hawaii, out of 2400 competitors Rhys finished 213th and completed the event in 9 hours and 48 minutes.

The Ironman triathlon originated in Hawaii and the world championships have been held their ever since. The event is a 3.8km swim, 180km bike ride and 42.2km run, Hawaii is renowned for being one of the hardest courses in the world mostly because of the heat, humidity and wind. This year was no different with the race day being 36 degrees.

To qualify Rhys finished 2nd at Ironman event in Port Macquarie in 9 hours 32 minutes.
