JKW was recently invited by John Holland CPB Contractors Ghella (JHCPBG) – Sydney Metro TSE Works to be involved in delivering a very special project for Bear Cottage Children’s Hospice in Manly, NSW.
The ‘McCullough Way’ accessible pathway officially opened on the 17th September 2020, delivering a new lift facility and footpath to allow the children and families of Bear Cottage a direct wheel-chair friendly thoroughfare to the beach.
This iconic piece of infrastructure has been in the pipeline for 18 years – Bear Cottage and their loyal supporters should be incredibly proud of their commitment to making this vision a reality.It took a large team of committed contractors to deliver all aspects of the works, with JKW constructing the pathway through a local park linking the stair lift to the street. We hope this new access is the beginning of many new memories created at Bear Cottage.
Families are at the heart of JKW and this project truly resonated with us. We are grateful to JHCPBG who gave us the opportunity and privilege to be a part of this project.
