This is a story about the Penrith Men’s Walk and Talk community group, which aims to promote the importance of taking care of every aspect of our health – physical, social and mental.
Every Thursday, the group meets to walk around the Nepean River, rain, hail, or shine. What started as a simple catch-up among friends has evolved into a safe haven for men to seek help and support. The group has trained counsellors who provide mental health training programs and seminars, and the community ensures that support is available to those who need it.
Ultimately, it’s a great opportunity to spend time with friends, and the group promises that no one will ever have to walk alone.
