JK Williams delivered Stage 1 of the Canvas Estate, a 103 residential lot brownfield subdivision located in Bonnyrigg NSW.
The existing site is a combination of existing road infrastructure, remediated residential lots, existing residential occupied dwellings (total of 15), verge infrastructure as well as existing underground services. The project scope involves the redevelopment of the site which includes the reconstruction of road infrastructure, upgrading of stormwater drainage infrastructure, upgrading of service utilities, retaining wall construction and landscaping works.

Due to existing service infrastructure located underground and within the footprint of the project, a proponent of our scope was to install temporary services to facilitate for existing residents. Only after these temporary services installed and active, could we isolate existing service lines and disuse them whilst also simultaneously constructing new service lines to the new design alignment.
Our Integrated Management System assisted us in the management of underground services and digging safely around them, particularly important during trenching works such as during stormwater installation works and underground service reticulation works.
Community management was another critical part of this project with the existence of 15 residential dwellings located within the Bonnyrigg Stage 1 site. Each individual dwelling is occupied by residents who will require access to & from their respective properties. Because of this, a phasing construction plan was created with accompanying Traffic Guidance Scheme’s in order to facilitate for their access & egress needs whilst also delineating their movements from our planned construction works.
