Women have been an integral part of our Construction Team for more than two decades!
The increase in female representation within the JK Williams construction team has grown organically. Women trust us not just to enter the Civil Construction industry but also to thrive in their careers.
Our commitment to fostering an equal opportunities workplace includes reporting to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA). 2024 will be our sixth consecutive year of reporting to the WGEA. This practice enables us to examine and benchmark businesses within our industry, providing valuable insights into the gender pay gap. We encourage all Civil Contractors to join us in participating in this report to ensure access to consistent and trustworthy data.
One of the ways we hold ourselves accountable is to compare JKW statistics with current industry statistics.
In 2024, JK Williams welcomed its 5th Father & Daughter duo to the team. This proud moment signifies a shift from the traditional Father & Sons dynamic to one that includes Fathers & Daughters. It also reflects the trust placed in us to nurture daughters’ careers in a male-dominated industry. When a father recommends us as an employer for both his sons and daughters, it marks a significant milestone for JK Williams and the industry. This culture of support and inclusivity has been fostered by our workforce for 65 remarkable years.
Our legacy is that long after we have completed a project, the memory of who we are and what we stand for shall remain.
There are certain things that become synonymous with an area. For Penrith, at the foot of the Blue Mountains, it must be JK Williams.
JK Williams prides itself on utilising and sourcing the very latest in technology fit for business purpose. We are not solely focused on what is an aid to constructionany functions of the business.
